About Us

Welcome to the Uyghur Mosque, a place of worship and community located at 2299 Troy Rd, Troy, ON L0R 2B0. Our mosque has a rich history that dates back to its first location in Mississauga, which opened its doors in 2015.

At the Uyghur Mosque, we are proud to serve and support the Uyghur community in Ontario. Our community has come together to raise funds and establish this sacred space that is not only a place of prayer but also a center for cultural and social gatherings.

One of the unique aspects of our mosque is its location. We have transformed an abandoned small church, preserving its original historical architecture while adapting it to meet the needs of our community. This blend of history and spirituality creates a truly special atmosphere within our mosque.

Since our opening in September 25, 2021, the Uyghur Mosque has become a vibrant hub for the Uyghur community. We hold various events throughout the year, ranging from Ramadan iftars to hosting guest speakers who share their knowledge and insights with our community.

Our mission is to provide a welcoming and inclusive space where individuals can come together to worship, connect, and grow. We strive to foster a sense of unity and belonging among our congregants, regardless of their background or experiences.

In addition to our religious services, we are committed to engaging with the broader community. We actively participate in interfaith dialogues, community initiatives, and charitable activities. By building bridges and promoting understanding, we aim to contribute positively to the fabric of Canadian society.

We invite you to join us at the Uyghur Mosque and experience the warmth and spirituality that permeate our community. Whether you are seeking spiritual guidance, cultural connection, or simply a place to find solace, our doors are open to all.

Come and be a part of our journey as we continue to grow, learn, and serve the Uyghur community in Ontario.
